Cannobio, Italy is a town on the river Cannobino in Piedmont, Italy. The town used to be a center for wool, tanning industries, and lumber trade in the medieval times. A historical and controversial event also happened in 1522 when the city was not damaged unlike the rest of the neighboring cities after a statue of the Virgin Mary allegedly started bleeding. The town continues to keep the statue safe, preserved, and protected up until now.
