Sitting within a 20-minute drive from Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Skiway is a 100-acre ski resort within Lyme, New Hampshire. It features 30 trails in total that range from easiest to most challenging, with the longest being 1.25 miles in length. The ski area is a little over 1940 feet above the ground and is served by three lifts: the Magic Carpet Beginner Lift, the Winslow Mountain Quad, and the Holt's Ledge Double. The lifts can accommodate up to 3,300 visitors every hour. Dartmouth Skiway was launched in 1957 and once featured a Poma lift on one of its peaks. It underwent many developments from the 1970's to the 1980's, in an effort to entice more tourists to come to the area.
The town of Lyme has since been attractive to businesses and hotels over the past several years. One of the favorite accommodations dotting the city is the Silver Mape Lodge & Cottages. The cozy hotel serves a complimentary hot/cold breakfast to guests and allows visitors to make use of the bicycles on the site free of charge, as well. If you are ever to visit the nearby natural attractions, you can come to Lake Morey and Fairlee Town Beach, both of which are roughly nine miles from The Lyme Inn.
