Hanalei, Hawaii is part of Kaua’i County and sheltered only 254 residents in 2017. The name “Hanalei” meant “lei making” in Hawaiian and may also mean “crescent bay” representing the shape of Hanalei Bay. The town boasts of its fresh produce such as bananas, yams, coconuts, and even coffee. There are numerous hotels and accommodations in the area to suit every visitor's needs.

The town experiences hot temperatures for most of the year with little to no chance of rain at all. That being said, Hanalei, HI is your perfect summer destination throughout the year. Mid-December to late April have the clearest skies and most pleasant weather, ideal for a relaxing day on the beach. In July, Hanalei, HI hotels are usually fully-booked, so better plan your trips ahead. If you’re in a tight budget, you can visit the city around June when there are fewer tourists in the area and hotels and airfares are at their lowest.
