Italian Centre in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom is home to many famous luxury brands, such as Emporio Armani and Versace Collections. Inaugurated in 1991, its design is based on Italian-style palazzos. The British Urban Regeneration Association recognized it with the Best Practice Award in 1995.
Fun things to do in the area include visiting Kelvingrove Park. It was established as West End Park by Sir Joseph Paxton, an English gardener, in 1852. Facilities onsite include bandstand, bowling and croquet greens, monuments, skate park, and statues. The biggest monument in the park is the Stewart Memorial Fountain. Tourists should also visit People’s Palace and Winter Gardens. Inaugurated in 1898, it is a glasshouse and museum telling the story of the city and its people from the mid-18th century until the present day. It has been the city’s social history museum since the 1940's. Another interesting site to visit in the area is Hampden Park. It is the national football stadium of the country, with a seating capacity of 51,866. It hosts the latter stages of the Scottish Cup as well as the Scottish League Cup regularly. It is also an ideal venue for concerts and other sporting events. Two of the nearest hotels from the Italian Centre are the lovely Saco Glasgow-Cochrane Street and the 4-star Rab Ha’s Hotel. Both hotels are located just around a block or 2 from the centre. Both hotels features free WiFi for guests, but only Rab Ha’s Hotel has a restaurant and a bar/lounge.
