Mercy Health Center was established by the Sisters of Mercy, founded by Catherine McAuley, recognized as the first religious order that is not bound to the cloister rules. Hence, the sisters were free to visit the poor in their homes. From Dublin, the Mercy Health the sisters traveled to the U.S. and established Mary Health Center in Oklahoma City in Oklahoma. Mercy Ministries serves patients with special needs, especially low-income patients.
