Modesto City – County Airport is also known as Harry Sham Field and Modesto Auxiliary Airfield. It is located two miles southeast if Modesto, California in Stanislaus County. The city of Modesto runs the operation of the public airport. In 1918, the airport was the first municipally owned airport in the entire nation. Modesto is the largest city of the Stanislaus County. It is the home of the largest privately owned winery in the world, the Gallo Family Winery.

Modesto City – County Airport has two asphalt runways measuring 1,780 meters by 46 meters and 1,056 meters by 30 meters. The airport has a passenger terminal equipped with a wireless Internet service. It has a curbside area for passenger drop-off and pick-up. The airport also offers up to a 30-minute parking area for visitors that need longer stay. There are several car rental agencies in the airport for passenger’s easy transport. As of the moment, the airport only offers Private Air Charter Service and do not offer any Commercial Air Service. The nearby cities to the airport are Lockeford, Ryde and Stockton.
