National Socialist Documentation Center, Cologne, Germany

The National Socialist Documentation Center is located in Cologne, Germany. It is officially called the NS Documentation Center of the City of Cologne. In 1979, the City Council of Cologne passed a resolution that founded the National Socialist Documentation Center. It is noted as being the largest regional memorial site in the country for victims of the Nazis. The center is housed in the EL-DE Haus in the EL-DE building. It was also the site of the Cologne Gestapo headquarters from 1935 to 1945. The main goal of the National Socialist Documentation Center is to memorialize the victims of the Nazi regime.
