Ojochal: The Hidden Gem of Costa Rica
Many haven’t heard about Ojochal yet, but this town is no trap as it is a tourist spot that mostly the locals know about, until now. It’s a local secret that shows views of Costa Rica that many people have not seen before. From the hills and mountains to the beaches, this little unknown village is something of a treasure. The nearest airport to town is Palmar Sur Airport (PMZ), which primarily serves the region of Puntarenas.

Ojochal is tropical, and the main activities here are swimming and diving. Thus, July through January the busiest season for tourism. Many people come to play and have fun on the beaches during these months when the weather is good. With so many people visiting the town around this time, Ojochal hotels are often full, and prices stack high. Either visitor's book early on, or they visit during the low season if they want to enjoy their time.

Alma de Ojochal, on the other hand, is where guests can enjoy the ocean and the mountains together.
