Oriental Pearl Tower is also known as Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower. It is a television tower located in Shanghai, China. It is located at the tip of the Pudong New Area. The side of the Huangpu River also situates it. The tower is considered a unique landmark in the district. The construction of the tower was completed in 1994. The principal designers include Jiang Huan Chen, Lin Berlin, and Zhang Xiulin. The Oriental Pearl Tower was about 468 feet high and considered the tallest structure for decades. The China National Tourism Administration classified this as a scenic area. At night, the town is brightly lit with LED sequences. The tower is surrounded by 11 spheres and supported by three columns. Tourists will love the fifteen observatory levels.
