Home of the historic Hotel Roberts, the biggest and grandest hotel in the early 1930s, Pratt, KS is located in Pratt County, Kansas, United State where it also serves as its county seat. The establishment of Hotel Roberts was launched by the Pratt Chamber of Commerce in the hopes of bringing forth an economic breakthrough for the city. Pratt, KS was named in honor of Caleb Pratt, an officer during the Civil War who unfortunately met his demise at the Battle of Wilson's Creek in Springfield, MO. Today, visitors flying in via the Pratt Regional Airport will find Pratt's tree-lined streets, unassuming inns, and beautiful landscapes a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of big cities.

Pratt, Kansas sees the most number of tourists in June. This spike naturally causes a steep rise in hotel prices and airfare. To avoid the crowd and exorbitant room rates, travel to Pratt between mid-April to late June or between late August to late October when temperatures hover in the low 60s, making it an ideal time for warm-weather activities and when accommodations are usually 25% lesser than rates in June.
