RioCentro Convention Center, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Dubbed as the biggest exhibition center in all of Latin America, the RioCentro Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is not only a convention center but also an exhibition facility. It was constructed back in 1977 and became the venue of the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit. Apart from this, RioCentro has hosted several sports games. In 2007, some of its six spacious pavilions were used for the Pan American Games. It was also recently used for the Summer Olympics and Paralympics in 2016, some of the events being boxing, table tennis, and badminton.

Also found within Rio de Janeiro is the Parque Enrique Lage, a public city park sitting at the base of the Corcovado peak. It was previously a residential area that belongs to the industrialist Enrique Lage. It was only in the 1960s when the city acquired the land and turned it into a public park of walking trails and subtropical forests. You have not truly visited the city if you did not stop by the Catedral de Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro, locally referred to as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro. This Roman Catholic church serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro and is dedicated to the city’s patron saint, Saint Sebastian.
