It is also nicknamed Isla Nena, which translates to “Little Island Girl” alluding to Puerto Rico as the bigger sister. The busiest time for tourists on the island of Vieques is from November to March. Many tourists from colder countries flock to this little paradise to bask in the sunshine and swim in the warm waters. When making a trip to Vieques, on the top of the list should be the famous Bioluminescent Bay, where visitors can see firsthand blue-green glow of the microorganisms in the water. Enjoy the view from Fort Conde de Mirasol, located atop a hill and is a famous landmark on the island.
