Yale Center for British Art holds the largest collection of drawings, painting, manuscripts, rare books, and sculptures outside of the United Kingdom. It also holds a photo archive of around 40,000 volumes of books for scholarly research. Many of the works displayed here are from the 16th-18th century and were part of the collection of Paul Mellon.
