Bismarck Municipal Airport- BIS airport is a public airport in the southeast of the Bismarck. It services the city of Bismarck in the state of North Dakota and its surrounding cities like Mandan. BIS airport is owned and facilitated by the local municipal government. Majority of aircraft landing is single-engine aircraft. Despite the local and simple structure of the airport, it is updated and designed to allow jet planes landing. BIS airport currently has six operating airlines with domestic networks. Majority of the airlines are connected to Minneapolis/ St. Paul.
Best Time to Visit
The primary BIS airport in 1963 was designed with just a single-story facility. However, in 2005, the older building was demolished and was replaced by another updated and functional airport facility. Presently, BIS airport has 2,425 acres of land. BIS airport also has two functional runways with 2,680 meters and 2,012 meters asphalted surface. BIS airport also has been strengthening their economy and have reported increase in their tourist’s arrivals over the years; their latest data shows 271,000 passengers coming and leaving the airport.

Another hotel close to the airport is the Expressway Suites, which is also a 3-star hotel with cozy and comfortable accommodations. Both hotels are located within a 2-mile radius from the BIS Airport.
