Devanahalli also called “Devanahalli” or “Dyavanapalli” is a town under the district of Bangalore Rural situated in Karnataka State, India. It has a population of 23,190 as of 2003 and uses Kannada as their official language. The town was created when a family of refuge together with Rana Baire Gowda flee and rested at the Ramaswami betta. Rana was instructed in a dream to set permanently in the area thus the creation of the town came into life.
