Gex: Bicultural French Town
In the Ain Department of France is the charming town of Gex, France. Its close proximity to the border of Switzerland once put the town under the Swiss jurisdiction. In fact, Geneva International Airport (GVA) is only less than 20 minutes away. The town sits on the foot of the Jura Moutain Range and for that reason, it is highly forested. Best Time to Visit
Gex, France, being in the Rhone-Alpes region, feels chilly and cold the majority of the entire year. There is only an extremely short time where you can enjoy basking under the scorching sun, and this usually lasts for a month, between July and August. Gex FR hotels are pricey during this time. However, you can still explore the town on foot from May to June or September. You can enjoy winter-related activities in the remaining months not mentioned.
