It is classified as a non-primary commercial service airport based on its record of passenger boardings in 2006 reaching 6,082.

HII Airport covers a land area of 646 acres and has one runway with an asphalt-paved surface. The runway, 14/32, measures 2,439 feet. As of December 2006, the airport had a record of 50,956 aircraft operations with an average of 93 operations per day, majority of which is general aviation. Scheduled services used to be provided by Mesa Airlines until May of 2007. Locals from nearby cities surrounding HII Airport such as Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, and Laughlin benefit from the general aviation services offered in the airport.

Commercial flight services can be availed in nearby airports, which include Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport. Other airports nearby include the Kingman Airport and the Bagdad Airport, but these no longer commercial flight services as well.
