Jaisalmer Airport- JSA
Owned and operated by the Airports Authority of India, Jaisalmer Airport is a civil enclave of the Indian Air Force base. The airport is located 10.5 miles away from the main city of Jaisalmer, India and features a single concrete runway 9,000 feet in length. It is the main hub of the Spicejet and Truket Airlines, which serves flights to Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Surat. Spicejet also caters seasonal flights to Delhi and Mumbai through this airport. JSA Airport had a total of 35,896 passengers traffic in 2018 and 735 aircraft movements.
Best Time to Visit
Flights via the Vayudoot and the Kingfisher Airlines used to serve flights at the airport. However, when it became a civil enclave in 2015, passenger flights ceased to operate in the airport. It resumed services for the public in 2017. JSA Airport regularly serves flights to Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi, Surat, Jodhpur and Ahmedabad six days a week through Trujet Airlines and SpiceJet. Zoomair and Indigo will also being to service flights in the airport to destinations such as Udaipur, Agra, Ghaziabad and Hindon. A new terminal was completed in March 2013 and allows parking access to three aircraft as big as Airbus A321. Jaisalmer, Sam and Chandan are towns and cities, which offer a great tourist escape.

Hotel Rang Mahal is one of the nearby JSA Airport hotels located near the terminal, which is close to tourists’ sites such as the Sunset Point and Nakki Lake Free. Heritage Inn is also located nearby at a 5-minute drive away from the airport.
