Karlstad Airport – KSD
Karlstad Airport, known by its International Air Transport Association (IATA) code KSD, is a public-use airport found more than ten kilometers from the city center of Karlstad, Sweden, in the municipality of Karlstad. It is currently operated by Swedavia.
Best Time to Visit
The airport is served by five airlines, four of which only offer seasonal charter flights to various destinations nearby. As of the moment, Air Leap is the only airline providing regularly scheduled flights to and from Karlstad Airport, connecting the city to Stockholm through Stockholm Arlanda Airport. If you happen to be in the town, make sure to include the towns of Älvsätern, Edsbjörke, and Sunne in your itinerary, all of which are about an hour from KSD.
What to Do & Area Attractions
While KSD-Karlstad Airport has no available airport hotels yet, travelers to the city can stay at the hotels by the banks of Klarälven River, one of which is the First Hotel River C.
