Lautoka: The Domain and Seaport of Sugarcane
Lautoka is the biggest city of Fiji and it is the center of Fiji’s sugar cane growing district and famous as the Sugar City since the city is known as a large area for sugar cane. The leading Lautoka Sugar Mill which was established in 1903 is still the dominant business recruiting an approximate of 1,300 employees at present. Lautoka, Fiji also contributes a remarkable growth in handling bulk cargo and being the biggest port in Fiji.
Best Time to Visit
The most crowded month for travel in Lautoka is in March, June and November and prices for hotels and flights during these months are a bit pricy. The unsuitable month for travel is in December. Some of the most celebrated festivals in the city are the Sugar Festival, Eid al-Fitr, Hisbiscus Carnival/Festival and much more.

Apart from sugar cane, Lautoka boasts attractions that anyone will surely love. Churchill Park is a multi-purpose stadium particularly used for football games.
