Mayo Performing Arts Center, Morristown, New Jersey, United States of America

The Mayo Performing Arts Center is a multi-functional performing arts center located in Morristown. This community theater was first built in 1937 but was dismantled around the 1980's. Luckily enough, the theater has been reopened as a performing arts center in 1994 and in 2007, more advanced technology has been added and major renovations were being set up. One of the most memorable experiences in the Mayo Performing Arts Center is the performance of the Academy award-winning actress and Broadway performer Liza Minelli. In 2011, the concessions and the Art Gallery were being updated alongside with new restrooms.  

Morristown is home to many destinations of political and historical significance. One great example is the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Parsippaany. It is assigned as the headquarters of the Morris County Parks Commission and provides plant and ornamental collections. Alongside the arboretum is the Braille Nature Trail, which is designed for hiking exploration. Another iconic political destination is the Ford Mansion. This is an 18th-century Georgian house owned by Jacob Ford in 1774, yet was later made as a headquarter for George Washington. This house is now part of the National Park Service and the Morristown National Historical Park. The Ford Mansion was eventually acquired by the Washington Association in 1873.
