Norsup Airport – NUS
Located near the village of Norsup, Vanuatu on Malakula Island, Norsup Airport is a public airport, which primarily serves Lakatoro, the capital city of the province of Malampa. The airfield goes by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code of NUS and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) code of NVSP. Norsup Airport is one of the three airports located on Malakula. The other two airfields are the South West Bay Airport serving the southwestern part of the island and Lamap Airport serving the southeasternregion.
Best Time to Visit
The NUS-Norsup Airport stands at an elevation of seven meters above the mean sea level. There is only one runway on the airfield, with a length of a little over 3,100 feet. Air Vanuatu, which is the country’s national flag carrier, is currently the only airline serving Norsup Airport. It has scheduled flights to the Craig Cove Aiport on the island of Ambrym, which is located to the east of Malakula, and to the Bauerfield International Airport on the island of Port Vila, which is found to the south of Malaluka. While on the island, make sure to visit South West Bay and experience the site’s black sandy beach and natural beauty.

While there are no in-house hotels at Norsup Airport yet, guests can stay at the Coral Quays Fish and Dive Resort and the Village De Santo Resort, both of which are within a few minutes away from the airfield. The nearby The Espiritu is also just a three-minute drive from Norsup Airport.
