Vladivostok, Russia is home to the Vladivostok International Airport (VVO) despite the fact that it takes about one hour of driving to get to the city center. The facility was formerly known as the Knevichi Airport and currently has two terminals – one for domestic and another for international flights. There are also two airfields: Lake Springs which cater to regional routes and the Knevichi which caters to all types of aircrafts. Today, airlines with flights to and from the airport include Air Busan, China Southern Airlines, Jeju Air, Korean Air, and others.

Constructed in 1931, the VVO- Vladivostok International Airport (VVO) was primarily used for air-chemical works as well as coastal explorations. It was only in 1948 that it was used for passenger flights before an upgrade allowed the entry of larger planes for regular flights. Recent 2006 renovations led to a modernized airport with facilities built for the maximum comfort of passengers while waiting for their flight. As of 2017, the VVO airport accommodated roughly 2.6 million passengers. The city center of Vladivostok is an hour away from the airport whereby you’ll be traversing Svetlanskaya Street, a major road noted for its historical significance in the city.

Since the main city is some distance is from the VVO airport, most of the hotels are also a bit farther away. You can stay at the Motel Negus, which is 6.2km in distance from the airport. This is already the closest one available. You can also book rooms and suites at the Aurora Park Hotel or at the 4-star Villa Arte.
