Araxa Airport – AAX Airport
Currently operated by the city hall administration of Araxa, Araxa Airport is situated in a municipality in the western area of Minas Gerais State in Brazil. Locally, the airport is known as Romeu Zema Regional Airport and has an airport code of AAX. AAX Airport is a public airport that caters to this community, as well as Alto Paranaiba, one of the ten planning regions of Minas Gerais State. Azul Brazilian Airlines is the only aircraft that served the airport. The aircraft operates to and from Belo Horizonte-Confins. Araxa, Brazil is a small community of about 105,000 inhabitants. The local name of the airport is named after the governor of the state, Romeu Zema, who is also a businessman.
