American Airlines Center (AAC) in Dallas, Texas is a multipurpose arena that was inaugurated in 2001. It is the home of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Dallas Mavericks and National Hockey League’s (NHL) Dallas Stars. The Dallas Mavericks have a practice court in the arena. It is also used as a venue for concerts and other live entertainment events. 

There are several fun things to do in the area, such as visiting Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park. Inaugurated in 1992, it features rides themed around free fall and simulated flying. These include Bungee Jump, Ejection Seat, Nothin But Net, Skycoaster, and Skyscraper. Another interesting, nearby site to visit is the International Bowling Museum in Arlington. Situated inside the International Bowling Campus, it is home to the US Bowling Congress Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005; and World Bowling Writers (WBW) International Hall of Fame, which was established in 1993. It also features a lot of exhibits showcasing the rich bowling history. Tourists should also visit Thomas J. and Elizabeth Nash Farm or Nash Farm in Grapevine. It is a heritage farm museum included in the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. One of the nearest hotels to the center is the Hotel Crescent Court. Each room of the 5-star hotel comes with a private balcony. Another prominent hotel in the area is Hotel Zaza Dallas. Crescent Gourmet, its own cafe, offers freshly brewed Starbucks coffee every day. Its fitness center is complete with equipment, and also provides group exercise classes and personal trainers. It has a full-service spa offering many massage packages and skin treatments.
