Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center was known originally as Dallas Memorial Auditorium and also Dallas Convention Center. It is located in Dallas, Texas, and is recognized as one of the top ten convention centers by the Trade Show Executive Magazine. It is known as KBHCCD for short and is the largest convention center and the best run in the nation. KBHCCD also connects directly to the Omni Dallas Hotel and has an onsite DART rail station.
KBHCCD is pretty easy to visit, especially from nearby cities like Irving (16 minutes away), Arlington and Bedford (23 minutes away), and Frisco (30 minutes away). Aside from attending an event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, there are other super fun things to do in and around Dallas for the first time or returning travelers. Six Flags Over Texas is a must for thrill-seekers with its collection of rides. For travelers who want more of a relaxing time, the Texas Discovery Gardens is a great option full of beautiful plants and flowers as well as interesting exhibits. For some shopping, the Vista Ridge Mall, now called the Music City Mall has a variety of shops and brands to shop from. As for hotels, one of the most convenient to stay in is the Omni Dallas Hotel, which is directly connected to KBHCCD via a sky bridge and features a terrace pool and spa services. The Hyatt Regency Dallas is also located close by and is known for being the longest-running AAA four-diamond hotel in the area.
