Mancora: Surf’s Up, Beginner Waves
Mancora, Peru is dubbed by the famous Vogue magazine as Peru’s Best-Kept-Beach Town. With over 30 beach resorts, the town is one of the leading income-generator of the country thanks to the massive tourist influx it gets yearly. Mancora has known to be a great water and wind sports destination especially for surfing and kitesurfing. An hour and 15 minutes away is the Capitan FAP Victor Montes Airas International Airport (TYL) that serves the city with flights to and from several South American cities.
Best Time to Visit
Like majority of the famous summer seaside destinations, Mancora, Peru is best visited during the summer months when there are plenty of sunshine to bask in. However, if you want to avoid the huge crowd of tourists, come around the early months of the year from January to March. These are the months with still a fair weather, less tourists and Mancora, Peru hotels are cheaper.

Hanging out, chilling with smoothies, and getting that tan you have been dying to are all possible at the majestic Mancora Beach. As aforementioned, there are over 30 beach resort options for you to choose from. Punta Sal Beach is also another great beach. You can also enjoy a refreshing stroll at one of the parks in the city, Los Organos Plaza de Armas. La Casa De Sebas is one of the highly-recommended beachfront cabana accommodations and is also the nearest one to the town proper. However, if you want a bit of a luxury, then Don Giovanni Mancora is your best option. The three-star boutique hotel offers surfing lessons and has a spa facility where you can get a relaxing massage.
