Wyoming Dinosaur Center is one of the very few dinosaur museums in the world that features excavation spots within a short distance. This dinosaur museum is located in Thermopolis, Wyoming with a real display of Archaeopteryx specimen outside of Europe. A few miles from the museum are many dig sites where the one most prominent fossil is found which includes footprints of Allosaurus and Sauropods as well as remains from Diplodocus and Apatosaurus. Wyoming Dinosaur Center also offers various programs that allow guests to dig up dinosaur remains, which start every end of May. These dinosaur-digging programs are for individuals and families who want to know more about the history of early existence on Earth. 

Guests who will visit the museum will also have the chance to explore other nearby attractions within Thermopolis and its nearby cities of Worland and Greybull. One mile from the museum is the Hot Spring State Park, which a well-known public hot spring in town that offers free therapeutic baths.
